Calika
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Calika aka Simon Kealoha, is a Brighton based electronic artist signed to Sheffield record label Audiobulb Records. In 2005 he released his debut album 'Small Talk Kills Me' on Audiobulb, whilst almost simultaneously releasing a collaborative album 'Running Taper' with former Seefeel member Mark Clifford on Clifford's own Polyfusia Records. Both albums explore Kealoha's fasination with acoustic and electronic sources, pushed and pulled into an experimental yet melodic framework.
In early 2006 Kealoha also released a mini album as part of the Mineral Series of releases on Benbecula Records called 'The Bright Spot'.
