State Route 209 is a state funded highway that lies in the "Sports Arena" and "Point Loma" communities in the city of San Diego. It is 8 miles (13km) long, and begins on Camino Del Rio West and continues onto Rosecrans St. (the main stretch of the highway is here). The highway reaches its terminus at the Cabrillo National Monument, which is located on the Fort Rosecrans Military Reservation. As well, the highway passes by the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

The highways that connect to State Route 209 include Interstate 5, Interstate 8, and the Pacific Highway.
