State Route 133 runs mainly in a northeast-southwest direction between Pacific Coast Highway (State Route 1) in Laguna Beach and its junction to the State Route 241 near Irvine, USA.
For its entire run through Laguna Beach, Route 133 is a surface road, consisting of all of Broadway and much of Laguna Canyon Road. Between the Laguna Beach city limits and the I-5, it is the Laguna Freeway. North of I-5, it is part of the Eastern Toll Road between there and Route 241.

Route 133 from Route 5 to Laguna Beach is known as the Laguna Freeway, as named by the State Highway Commission on November 26, 1957.[2]
