California's 1st congressional district

California's 1st congressional district is one of 53 California Congressional Districts, which includes Humboldt, Del Norte, Mendocino and parts of Yolo Counties. The current Representative for this district is Democrat Mike Thompson, who has represented the district since 1999. George W. Bush received 38% of the vote in this district in 2004. The district has a Cook Partisan Voting Index score of D +10.
