Caldwell High School is a high school in Caldwell, Idaho located on Indiana Ave near the corner of Ustick.
The current High School building opened for the school year of 1997. A new addition to the school opened up in 2005, adding room for the freshman class to join the High School. Prior to that, the freshman were housed at the Junior High.
The school also added a new football stadium for the beginning of the 2004 school year. The new complex was named the Warren "Moke" Strong Sports Complex in honor of long time teacher, principal, and track coach Warren "Moke" Strong. Warren's son, and Caldwell alum, Matt Strong, was the head coach of Caldwell for the teams innagural game at the Complex. The school is known for being rivals to Vallivue High School and more recently Skyview High School in nearby Nampa.
The football team in recent years has been struggling to make it to the state championship, coming close in the 2004 season before losing to Bishop Kelly High School in the semi-finals. Both Mark Weivoda and Cody Pickett are notable alumni from the school for going on to play college football. Weivoda to Idaho State University and Pickett to the University of Washington.
The school has developed a notorious reputation for gang activity. Teenage pregnancy, theft, and vandalism are minor issues within the school as well.
