Calatafimi-Segesta is a small town in the Province of Trapani, in Sicily, Italy.

The official name of the municipality honours the presence of the ruins of the old Greek city of Segesta, including the old amphitheatre, into the town's territory.

It was on a hill near Calatafimi, called Pianto dei Romani, where, in 1860, Giuseppe Garibaldi first encountered the Bourbons troops on a battlefield (see the Battle of Calatafimi). This was the first significant battle of the Italian unification (or Risorgimento) and it was at this battle, that Giuseppe Garibaldi was said to have uttered the famous battle cry: "Here we make Italy, or we die".

Calatafimi dates from before the Arab invasion of Sicily in the 9th century. On the hill overlooking the town stands the ruins of a castle named for Euphemius, a fifth century ecumenical patriarch of Constantinople. The name Calatafimi comes from an arabization of the name Castle Euphemius into the Arabic Kalat-al-fimi (Castle of Fimi), which was Italianized to the current name.
