Cal Poly

Cal Poly may refer to either of two universities:

These two schools were at one time one school, operating on two campuses. That is, students enrolled at one of the two campuses but, once a student, they could take courses at either campus, all such courses counting toward the degree, which would be awarded from the campus of registration. For this reason, they are both known as Cal Poly. Even then, it is only historic, since the State of California can and regularly does change the names of its institutions.
