"Old maps before 1800 make little mention of the name, the area usually being marked as Pitdinny or Pitdinnie, which is still found in a local farm on the eastern edge." What, specifically, is still found in the local farm? A sign marking the area as "Pitdinny"? This is somewhat unclear.--Allispaul 23:48, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

The info comes from an anon editor on 29 March 2006. As the information isn't sourced, maybe we should remove it. I could ask around a bit here (I live in the area) but there is a policy against original research. Robovski 15:44, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
