Cairbre Cinnchait
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cairbre Cinnchait or Caitchenn ("cat-head" or "hard head") was a legendary High King of Ireland of the 1st century AD. He was the leader of the "subject peoples" who overthrew the Milesian nobility. Sources disagree on which king he overthrew: according to the Annals of the Four Masters it was Crimthann Nia Náir; Seathrún Céitinn says it was Fiacha Finnfolaidh. During his reign only one grain grew on each stalk of wheat and only one acorn on each oak tree.
