Contents

[edit] Origins

Cahoots was created in response to a perceived gap in mainstream women's media. Dominated by extremes, magazines did not represent, or speak to, a large and growing demographic of educated, thoughtful Canadian women. Cahoots was established to create a conversation between all women, taking Canada as a whole.

[edit] Format

Cahoots publishes articles, fiction, poetry, and visual art. Articles cover topics that are relevant to women, such as career and health, home, life, and the world, grouped into themed issues. The magazine is intended as a conversation, with all the entertainment, education and exchange of opinion that a good chat provides.

Themes from past issues have included World, Learning, Body, Community, Home, Adventure, and Spirit. These topics are approached throughout the issue from a variety of angles and in a variety of styles.
