Hello there, welcome to the 'pedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Welcome indeed - great to have somebody writing about outsider music. I think I yelped in surprise a little when I saw we had a page on Jandek - good stuff! --Camembert
Hi again - sorry for the delay in responding to your email; I only just got it for some reason (problems with my ISP, I think). Anyway, it looks like you've worked out how the "user talk" pages work, but I'll explain anyway just in case: you go to the person's user page (which you get to by clicking on their name), and at the bottom and side of the page there's a "discuss this page" link which takes you to their user talk page. You can use that page to chat with them, ask them questions, or whatever. Similarly, each article has a "discuss this page" link, where the article itself can be discussed. Any other questions, feel free to ask, or check out the pages that mav has listed above. I'll try to add some stuff to the various outsider pages when I get the chance - for now I'm a bit tied up with other things. Anyway, keep up the good work. (and thanks for the link to the Jandek trailer - I hadn't heard about that, should be interesting) --Camembert
Hi. That was a lot of work to include all of those albums. I was just making sure we had complete sentences. :) -- Zoe

[edit] Editing Image:Fringe toed lizard.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Fringe toed lizard.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, – Quadell (talk) (help)[[]] 23:08, Nov 29, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Joe_hill002.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Joe_hill002.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. -- Carnildo 10:46, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Jlsullivan02.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Jlsullivan02.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 21:58, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
