Cadbury Caramilk
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Caramilk (until recently called Caramel in the United Kingdom, now known as Dairy Milk with Caramel) is a chocolate bar made by Cadbury. It consists of liquid caramel held in chocolate pockets. Variations available in Canada, some of them limited editions, include Caramilk made with dark chocolate, Caramilk with maple, and Caramilk filled with chocolate or cappuccino. "Chunky" (thicker) versions called Caramilk "Thick" and cylindrical versions called "Caramilk Rolls" (similar to Rolo) have also been introduced.
In the United States, the Caramilk product is distributed by Hershey's chocolates under the name Cadbury's Caramello.
[edit] Advertising Campaigns
One of the advertising campaigns for Caramilk bars revolved around the question as to how the centre of the confection was put into the chocolate exterior. One notable advertisement involved Dan Aykroyd in costume from his Coneheads Movie investigating the matter.
