In July 1998, Cable and Wireless Adventurer, a 125-foot long "superboat", circumnavigated the world in 74 days, 20 hours, 58 minutes, traveling more than 26,000 statute miles (41,800 km, 22,600 nautical miles), earning it the current Guinness World Record for fastest circumnavigation by a power vessel.
