The Cable Authority was a body in the United Kingdom, which existed from the 1980s until December 31, 1990 to regulate those non-terrestrial television channels broadcasting at the time, which were only available to a very small audience.
From January 1, 1991, its functions were taken on by the Independent Television Commission.
