C.H. Gimingham

Professor Charles Henry Gimingham OBE FRSE, born 28 April 1923, a British applied botanist, past President of the British Ecological Society, and a world authority on heathlands and heathers.

Gimingham’s father was another Charles Henry Gimingham, an eminent British entomologist who was President of the Association of Applied Biologists.
