C1 was founded in the June of 2005.

C1 Television broadcasts a variety of programming. The following are noteworthy:
- News. C1 gets its foreign news clips from Reuters, and its domestic news from its own crew.
- Sport. C1 gets its sport news from the British TV program Gillette World Sport. It is also noteworthy that it broadcasts the UEFA Champions League, and that it broadcasted the 2006 FIFA World Cup live.
- Entertainment. C1 broadcasts Mongolian Movies, Talk Shows, and Movie News
