C-Note is an album released by Prince in 2003, the American musician. It's a Jazz-album with 5 tracks taken from soundchecks during the One Nite Alone... tour. The first 3 tracks are instrumentals named after the location they were recorded. The fourth track is an instrumental with Prince repeating 'Tokyo' over and over. The fifth track is a live rendition of Empty room (October 25th 2002 in Copenhagen), an outtake originally intended for The Gold Experience (Although it's likely it was written on or very shortly before 4 August 1985, which was when it was first recorded. The song is reported to have been written / recorded for Susannah Melvoin, after a relationship difficulty.), there was even a clip made for the song but it remains unreleased.The album is very experimental and reminds of the Madhouse project. The album is only 33 minutes long and was only available as an MP3 file from Prince's website : The NPG music club. Unfortunately the NPGMC doesn't exist anymore, making this album legally unavailable.
