I saw that In Living Color (1991-3)dissed Byron Allen, along with Bryant Gumble, for being a "sell-out." In their "Tom and Tom" skit, the Toms become the first Blacks accepted to an all-white country club.

One Tom says it's the happiest day of his life since he won the Bryant Gumble look-alike contest. The other Tom says it's the happiest day of his life since he won the Byron Allen look-alike contest.

What's the deal with Byron Allen? What was the word on the street in the early 90's? 24.99.35.156 23:23, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
