Byron Shire is is a Local Government Area (LGA) in New South Wales, Australia in the Northern Rivers region. It includes 347 (1.2%) indigenous persons and 22,564 (78.0%) Australian-born persons. It is on the Pacific Ocean and the Pacific Highway.
