Byczyna

Byczyna (German: Pitschen) is a town in Kluczbork County, Opole Voivodeship, Silesia, Poland, with 3,708 inhabitants (2004).
The town, located just north of Kreuzburg (Kluczbork) in Upper Silesia was located near the border to Poland and became the setting of the Schlacht bei Pitschen (Battle of Byczyna) between Maximilian III, Archduke of Austria, who was elected as king of Poland and Sigismund of Lithuania, on January 24, 1588.
