Hi, sorry for this spam. I've submitted Mount Tambora article on FAC. Perhaps you can chime in there to give some comments or vote. ;-) — Indon (reply) — 16:20, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your support. Can I have one more favour from you? Since you are a good copyeditor, could you please check again a new section that I've just added to the article? It's Ecosystem section. Thanks. — Indon (reply) — 10:28, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi. This image is currently on linked to from your sandbox. Since it's commercial only, and has since been replaced in all relevant articles, I was wondering if you could remove it from your sandbox? I'll soon be placing a {{or-fu2}} template on it for deletion. Cheers! --Storkk 19:59, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Indonesia collaboration
Hi Bwmodular! It's the last few days of the Garuda Indonesia collaboration. Please contribute!!!
Also, could you please vote for the next fortnight's collaboration? Please vote down the bottom of this page. The collab for the fortnight will be decided this Sunday 26th (or Monday at the latest). By the way, we could also chose Garuda Indonesia for another week.
So please visit and help choose the next article. Any questions/comments, please let me know. I'd love to hear from you particularly if you have any good suggestions! :-) --Merbabu 10:25, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hi again, Bwmodular! This fortnight we've chosen: >>>Majapahit Kingdom<<<. Please help in referencing, check my newly added headings, improve prose, diagrams, but most importantly is RESEARCH so we can actually grow the article. Any other suggestions for improvement, please leave on the article's talk page. Yes, please discuss on talk page!
- Also, can you please post suggestions for the following fortnight's collaboration. Please leave your suggestions at the bottom of this page. Hopefully i will remember to remind you to vote in about a week (someone else remind me!). --Merbabu 13:28, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Hello there Bwmodular. For the next two weeks we have chosen >>>Indonesian War of Independence<<< for the Indonesia Collab. Also, please vote for the next fortnight. Maybe we should chose a stub article. So far, we have had already longish articles and they are therfore hard to expand. Here's a list of Indonesian underdeveloped articles: [1]. Please let me know if you have any suggestions (or if you do not want me to message you about the collabs). kind regards --Merbabu 12:50, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wali Songo or Wali Sanga?

[edit] Indonesian architecture
Wow - thanks for your efforts. I thought no-one cared about it!!! he he. Feel free to contribute more. Copy-edit etc. I still need to add more info to the Palace section and also the contemporary section. And we need photos of more traditional house, like Nias oma sebua, and Balinese homes. Also, Kraton. We also need photos of LARGE colonial buildings or a city streetscape. --Merbabu 12:57, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- PS, i have an ambitious list of articles to write on indonesian architecture. Basically more detailed versions of the main article: [3] --Merbabu 12:58, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Aceh news
Hi, thanks for updating the news. Could you please also include the source to the newspaper? The Current Events in Southeast Asia hasn't been updated since October, so we loose the source. Thus we can go back to our old system by citing the newspaper article directly. — Indon (reply) — 10:36, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry for that. I didn't know that. I put an alternative way while the Current Events are not updated yet. However, thanks for the update on WP:PID news. — Indon (reply) — 11:33, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of volcanoes in Indonesia
Hi Bwmodular, how are you? You're a great copyeditor I know. I've problem with the prose of this article. It has been in the WP:FLC for a quite while, but it seems that all reviewers complain about its prose (the written part that comprises only a small fraction of the article). Could you please help me to improve it or just point to me where the bad prose is? Thanks. — Indon (reply) — 16:50, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for the copyedit. The article is now receiving more supports in Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of volcanoes in Indonesia and it's getting closer for Featured. :-) BTW, since you like news, there is an ongoing copyediting about the Adam Air Flight 574. Perhaps you would be interested to keep it up to date. — Indon (reply) — 16:02, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, I forgot. Best wishes for 2007! How's the weather in UK now? Better than the new year eve? :-) — Indon (reply) — 16:30, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Good news! The article is now featured. Now, what's next? How about Borobudur? I still need to update it with maps and layouts. — Indon (reply) — 08:17, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Borneo SVG
Hi, thanks Ben for doing that. — Indon (reply) — 14:37, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Java SVG
I'm not working on that image, so it would be great if you can create the long-awaited Java map in SVG. :-) I'm going to propose a new infobox city for Indonesia to the project, to take advantage of the {{Location map Indonesia}} template. The current generic {{Infobox city}} does not work with it and I don't like its layout. However, MichaelJLowe is reluctant to work with more specific infobox for each country if the generic one is available and enough for him. So, I'll be busy with the new infobox first to show him off. — Indon (reply) — 17:30, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Inkscape is nice huh? :-) I think the map is a good start. For provinces, I was wondering also if MediaWiki has the capability of enabling/disabling layers on the fly during display, but it is not there yet. I think it's better with the old way, PNG images, but on the Indonesia scale. About other small islands (Madura, Nusakambangan, etc.), I prefer to be included, but it can be done later. Hey, thanks for your help. — Indon (reply) — 16:43, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
My plan is to have smaller scale maps for each cities/locations. The Indonesia scale map is too wide if we want to locate Kuta, for example, that is going to occupy the whole island. Provincial capitals, however, is better to use Indonesia scale map for locator image. So the smaller scale maps (that I plan) are: Sumatra (+ Riau Islands as inset), Kalimantan, Java, Sulawesi, Maluku, West New Guinea and Bali + Nusa Tenggara. Thus all small islands in the surrounding are better to be included. — Indon (reply) —
- Thanks, man. That's good. I think I'll do the province coloring. I've done some, but not yet converted into PNG map. The current locator is outdated, because it does not contain the new West Irian Jaya province. I'll take care for that. — Indon (reply) — 09:28, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sumatra SVG
Hehehe, it's not an ellipse, but a 0 degree. I think it's should be better to be renamed it with a small text of "equator line". About the Riau islands, hmm.. it's a bit complicated. I might want to put them as an inset, somehow, but it would be difficult to calculate the locator placement. Let's leave it out first. We can work with that later. — Indon (reply) — 11:17, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
??? I didn't do anything. I downloaded the file, opened SVG with Inkscape, there you see the text, clicked it and replaced it. Just like that. I don't know what's wrong with your Inkscape then. — Indon (reply) — 15:41, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] SVG images
Agree. The Sulawesi image was created by someone, and I think for consistency, it is better to create a new version with the same color and layout as other blank images. Oh, could you make the blank map images a bit higher resolution (>1000px width for instance)? I think it is not a problem for SVG images. Thanks. — Indon (reply) — 13:43, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Ben, sorry I didn't see your message. Yes, you're right. I meant by 1000 is the minimum pixel of either width or height. So if one is taller, then 1000px height is better than 1000px width. Oh, about Java map, I did some improvement (not yet), by tracing again the coastline from images captured from www.demis.nl. You don't mind if I replace the image later, do you? It's a bit tedious work, but it is worth to spend my hour. :-) One more thing, I think I could not manage to convert provincial maps in a short time (I have some deadlines from my real world). Would you mind to make that? It's just making highlight color of particular province from the blank Indonesia province.svg, but convert it to PNG, rather than in SVG. If you couldn't then it's all right. — Indon (reply) — 08:28, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Forget one more thing, if you have created provincial locator maps, then could you please replace the old locator maps in commons:Category:Locator_maps_of_provinces_of_Indonesia (by using the "upload new version of this file" link)? So it will automatically replace all locator maps in the corresponding WP articles. Thanks again. — Indon (reply) — 08:32, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Your 4th question: It's very easy converting PNG from Inkscape. It's File -> Export Bitmap..., it will convert the SVG image into PNG. You can also adjust resolution width. And about the shading, that's a bit tricky. You need to disconect path of coastline for a particular province, make a close curve and then put fill in it. Takes some works. — Indon (reply) — 11:25, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- (1). I like the green for shading.
- (2). It's a bit tricky to get rid the white line. It's because there are two objects, that you need to combine them. Here's how I do:
- Remove the shading color first.
- Make a duplicate copy of the provincial border.
- Move the duplicate into the same layer as the coastline.
- Hide the provincial border layer first.
- Go to the coastline layer.
- Select both the costline of the province and the duplicate provincial border; then combine them (Path->Combine).
- Both object should be in select box.
- Select the vertices tool and combine two end points of the two objects. There is one button in the tool bar to combine two points into single one.
- Then you can fill in the shading color back and unhide the provincial border layer. The provincial border layer should be on top of the coastline to show the border.
Have fun ! ;-) — Indon (reply) — 12:34, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- I think about 800 pixel on the longest widht/height is enough. About the name, the current one is obsolete. There is no West Irian Jaya province there, so it is better to replace it. I'm sure it is not a contentious one. — Indon (reply) — 12:32, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yesterday the image in Wikipedia was still shown, instead of the new one you uploaded in Commons. So I asked speedy deletion to show the correct one. But I like it, though the yesterday green is better for my taste. :-) I fixed the size in North Maluku and will put the infobox. — Indon (reply) — 09:01, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- I've put infobox to North Maluku. It appears that the green shading is not really shown. How about make it more contrast with the sea color ? — Indon (reply) — 09:05, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm.. I still find it less contrast with the sea color. People would think them as another water region. The yesterday green was better, I think, or maybe to use the red one. :-) — Indon (reply) — 09:48, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well, you did a lot of job for the maps, I should thank you. Take your time, no need to hurry. ;-) I still have my long overdue with the Java map. — Indon (reply) — 10:37, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
-
- Sorry, Ben, forget about your message about Riau Islands. Yes, I noticed that it doesn't look bright to show the location as the islands are soooo small compared to the whole archipelago. How about widening the provincial borders and changing the borders' colour with the same color as the island (bright green)? If it is still barely seen, then perhaps we should put an arrow to point to the islands. Regarding the table, yes I like that. We can see changes in the Wikipedia uploads directly from the thumbnail, good one! I'll check the table. — Indon (reply) — 11:19, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Damned! It's so difficult with that province. :-) How about bright red only for the provincial border? — Indon (reply) — 11:52, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

- orang gila...tak bisa ikut disini
- In reference to that specifically - as I have a lot of vandal chasing and blocking issues recently - Indon might have looked at my talk page and realised he wouldnt want personal attacks or tales of vandal chasing...
It was unfortunate that you comment came in between - it was Indon and I reflecting on the dark side of wikipedia - nothing in any way meant to be to do with your comment. My apologies SatuSuro 22:33, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Blank map
You're right, I missed one border. It should be a border between East Java and Bali. About the yellow arrow, I can't see it. Perhaps I missed that when I deleted notes, texts, arrows and other unused objects from the master image: Image:Southeast asia.svg. — Indon (reply) — 08:44, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Now I see it. Yes it is an arrow to point the strait between Bali and Lombok. It was in the master image together with the strait name, so I missed that to delete. Sorry for that. — Indon (reply) — 09:27, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
That's better, thanks. I don't know about the island, but I think it is part of East Java. — Indon (reply) — 10:17, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jakarta & Yogyakarta map
Yeah, it's difficult. Let me think how to show that province. Anyway, the important thing is that we have standard blank maps for all indonesia-related topics in en, at least for Indonesia province articles. Let's leave the other images and wikis alone first. — Indon (reply) — 12:42, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Maluku and Maluku...
Hi Bwmodular,
I reverted your recent map to Maluku Islands. THe new map is actually Maluku (Indonesian province), which is only half of the traditional notion of Maluku Islands- ie, you forgot North Maluku. see dab notice at the top of Maluku Islands. I'm sure you know this, just an easy mistake. --Merbabu 15:24, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- I guess simplification of wikipedia maps was not a major consideration when the province was split. Merbabu 15:41, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
