BWIC is stand for Batam Wireless Internet Community. As non-profit organisation, BWIC is become to strong community at Batam Island which help people to get a low cost internet connection, and wireless technology is a best solution to make our vision posible. BWIC also will support people who interest with Wireless Network technology.
BWIC also have an objective to share knowledge for the community, any ideas related to Wireless Networking will be shared to everyone for free. BWIC welcome for learning or discuss about Wireless Network. BWIC know exactly, that they are not expert or guru in wireless technology, but BWIC will try hard to share with all people their knowledge based on their experience and their experiment.

BWIC was developed of interlinked computer network using wireless LAN technologies. Taking advantage of the recent development of cheap internet connection using standard 802.11b (Wi-Fi) devices to build growing cell of wireless linked for Batam citywide wireless networks.
