Buttress thread

Buttress thread form is a screw thread profile used on casing or liner tubulars. Buttress threads are square-cut and create a hydraulic seal through the interference fit of the ma ting threads.

The ANSI reference for this thread is ' BUTT ' or 'PUSH BUTT'.
