For 40 years, BC3 has offered educational opportunities at affordable costs to students of all ages in a four-county area. The BC3 main campus is located 1½ miles south of the city of Butler, on 323 acres of the former Oak Hills Golf Course. The beautiful campus in a country setting, surrounded by large oak trees and rolling hills, provides a comfortable and safe learning environment.

BC3 has an open admissions policy which means any student with a high school diploma or a G.E.D may attend. The college operates on a two semester system, from August through May, with summer sessions that run from May through August.

Approximately 4,000 credit students attend BC3 annually and are enrolled in over 60 degree programs in the areas of business, nursing and allied health, arts and education, technology and transfer. One-third of the students earn a two-year Associates Degree and then transfer to a four-year college or university. Many students attend both day and evening classes, on a full or part-time basis, often holding down a job or two while they go through school.

BC3 offers over 75 distance learning courses to help today’s busy students who prefer to take college courses via the Internet or by videotape.

BC3 serves the needs of the community by offering non-credit classes for professional and recreational purposes, summer programs for children, training for business and industry, emergency medical services and public safety, and free classes for senior citizens. Over 19,000 students of all ages attend these various programs.

BC3 continues to meet its mission by offering a quality college education, affordable to all. With the generous support of its local county sponsor, and funds from the state of Pennsylvania, consumers can attend BC3 by paying one-third of the actual cost of their education. The current cost per credit is $80.00 including tuition and fees or approximately $2,100 a year for full-time students. Financial aid and scholarships are available.

In addition to its main campus in Butler, BC3 offers classes in Cranberry Township, Armstrong, Mercer and Lawrence counties.
