Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Someone must have been lazy, as you have not been welcomed yet. Thank you for your contributions. Since you have been here for a while, we can pretty much assume you are not a troll, vandal, or clueless newbie. I hope you continue to like the place and don't get all grumpy and leave over nothing. Here are a few good links for newcomers, even though you aren't one:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
I hope you still enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian, and won't get mad over something stupid and leave! By the way, please be sure to continue to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome, and sorry for your not being welcomed in the past! [edit] Image:Sarah jane honeywell.jpg
For future reference images should be listed at Images for deletion, not Miscellaneous for deletion. I've sorted it out for you. Happy editing! Steve block talk 12:50, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
- I see you have re-uploaded the image. I'm not clear why you felt it necessary to list the image for deletion, could you clarify what went on for me? Also, please don't hesitate to ask me if you run into problems in the future. Happy editing. Steve block talk 13:54, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help. I needed to edit the text I wrote when I uploaded, and there's no way to do this. Burns flipper 08:13, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Sarah jane honeywell.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sarah jane honeywell.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 19:54, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Change to Common.css
Per recent discussions, the way in which Persondata is viewed by Wikipedia editors has changed. In order to continue viewing Persondata in Wikipedia articles, please edit your user CSS file to display table.persondata rather than table.metadata. More specific instructions can be found on the Persondata page. --ShakingSpirittalk on behalf of Kaldari 00:48, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] popups
Your recent edit [1] to Pi had the edit summary "revert to revision $1 dated $2 by $3 using popups". Clearly the variables $1,$2,$3 were supposed to be automatically replaced with their correct values. Do you know if this is a bug in popups, or a bug in your setup? CMummert · talk 15:13, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- I was using an old version of the popups code. Now fixed. Thanks.Burns flipper 14:39, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
