Isn't this person far more widely known as Burning Spear? What most people would recognize is where we should have articles. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions and Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (pseudonyms). --mav

Yes but the name "Burning Spear" was given to the entire group, of which Rodney was the lead singer. Could it be something like the confusion with T.Rex (band name)/Marc Bolan (leader) or Jethro Tull(band name)/Ian Anderson (leader)? Many people think that 60s flute player guy was named "Jethro Tull," but that was a groupRomaC 08:04, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

In the 1970s Rodney had some background vocalists along him, and I've sometimes seen "Burning Spear" used to refer to that whole group. Today however, Burning Spear refers only to Winston Rodney himself. Teklund 09:03, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

I have modified the article somewhat to reflect this but we need more details of the early band and the other members and a bit more about how Spear became Winston Rodney, so in this case you both have a point and I would say we should try to improve the article for clarity on this point.
