Burton Latimer

Burton Latimer is a town in Northamptonshire, England with a population of around 7,100. It grew in the nineteenth century around the footwear and carpet-weaving industries. Notable buildings in the town include the Norman parish church, containing mediaeval murals. Burton Latimer is now the location of the only wind farm in Northamptonshire. Burton Wold wind farm, operated by 'Your Energy' has 10 turbines, producing enough electricity to power around 10,000 homes. It is also home to the Weetabix food company, and Wm Morrisons supermarket distribution centres, which are major local employers.
