Burpengary, Queensland

'Burpengary' is a locality in Caboolture Shire, Australia, situated approximately 32 kilometres north of the Brisbane CBD. Burpengary is semi-rural but is increasingly being built up to accommodate young families who work in Brisbane but want to live out of town.
The name Burpengary is derived from an Aboriginal language meaning "land of the golden wattle".
