Burnleywooder 23:19, 15 February 2007 (UTC) Burnley Wood, in the Borough of Burnley, Lancashire, is part of Elevate Housing Market Renewal.
The housing focus area consists essentially of pre-1919 housing. In broad terms it lies between Parliament Street in the north and Stoney Street in the south, and from the railway in the west to Todmorden Road in the east.
A new community park financed with "Quick Win" funding from Elevate has been built in the centre of the clearance area, one of the major benefits of this project combined with more responsive policing is that there is a marked and measurable reduction in antisocial behaviour across all age groups of young people
A local newspaper the Burnley Wood Argus is edited, produced, printed and published by the overarching community group Burnley Wood Community Action Group (600 free copies)
