Burniston

Burniston is a village and civil parish in the Scarborough borough of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated about four miles north of Scarborough itself, on the A171 road, and according to the 2001 census had a population of 1389. The village itself comprises housing, a post office on the High Street, two pubs the Three Jolly Sailors and the Oak Wheel. It also has a fuel station which has a garage attached BMW (Burniston Motor Works) and car sales, as well as England's garage, a former petrol station. Burniston Village Hall and its land include the park and tennis courts.
