Burlington High School (Vermont)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Burlington High School (BHS) is a public secondary school located in Burlington, Vermont. The school's mascot is the Seahorse and its colors are Blue and White. This mascot came about after seahorse fossils were discovered in the nearby lake (Lake Champlain was once part of the Atlantic known as the Champlain Sea). It has been speculated that BHS is the most racially diverse high school in the state of Vermont. BHS replaced Edmunds High School a few decades back.

[edit] Structure

Burlington High School is composed of 5 main buildings, labeled A,B,C,D, and E. "C" building is used by English and history teachers, and "E" is used by math and science teachers. "D" contains most of the exploratory programs, such as computer literacy, health, etc.
