Burgio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Agrigento in the Italian region Sicily, located about 60 km south of Palermo and about 40 km northwest of Agrigento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,031 and an area of 42.2 km².[1]
Burgio borders the following municipalities: Caltabellotta, Chiusa Sclafani, Lucca Sicula, Palazzo Adriano, Villafranca Sicula.
