Bureau of Economic Analysis

The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) is an agency in the United States Department of Commerce that provides several important statistics on the economy of the United States.
The primary responsibility of the BEA is to maintain statistics on the balance of accounts in the United States. Perhaps the most watched of these statistics is the gross domestic product of the United States. Its stated mission is to "promote a better understanding of the U.S. economy by providing the most timely, relevant, and accurate economic data in an objective and cost-effective manner."
