There have been three creations of baronets with the surname Burdett. They are listed in order of creation.

  • Sir Francis Burdett, 5th Baronet MP for Boroughbridge 1796-1802, Middlesex 1802-1804 and 1805-1806, Westminster 1807-1837 and Wiltshire North 1837-1844
  • Sir Robert Burdett, 6th Baronet
  • Sir Francis Burdett, 7th Baronet
  • Sir Francis Burdett, 8th Baronet (dormant on his death in 1951)
Robert Burdet had a grant of free warren in Seckington in 1327[1], and his son and heir Robert was born here in 1345[2]. The manor then followed the descent of Bramcote in Polesworth in this family[3], until 1919, when Sir Francis Burdett, 8th Baronet, sold the estate in lots. The manorial rights, attached to Seckington Hall Farm, were bought by Mr. Harry Arnold[4].
