[edit] Changes made by Utcursch

Utkarshraj Atmaram has edited this page and put wikified in the comments section. As such I do not have problems with his edits, but he should have taken care about the look and feel of the page. Because of the images on the page, special care was taken in formatting the page so that it looks proper. Now after he deleted lots of blank lines, the article has lost its formatting almost completely. It has to be redone.

Moreover, I do not see the logic of removing the categories (like Engineering colleges in India) from this page. When so many other colleges are under the same category, why this deletion for this page.

This article needs a lot of reverts. --APandey 19:08, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Hello Abhishek (and vjdchauhan)! Formatting with whitespace is considered bad -- it gives the page different look on different browsers. To solve the problem of images, I've used the gallery tag. I did remove the Category:Engineering colleges in India, but replaced it with Category:Engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh. This category has the category Category:Universities and colleges in Uttar Pradesh as its parent, and Category:Universities and colleges in India as its grandparent. This is a part of the process to structurize the categories pertaining to universities and colleges in India. Please do not think that some bias is being done towards this particular college; other colleges in Category:Engineering colleges in India will also be put under relevant state-wise subcategories (have a look at my contributions -- I'm working on that). Although, cyclic graphs are allowed, they should be avoided, except in special cases. utcursch | talk 08:54, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Utkarsh, I had checked the earlier page (with blank spaces) and it looked fine on Firefox as well as IE.

As such I understand your point. However I still need to maintain the asthetics of the page. The gallery does not look great right now. I will again edit this article so that it looks better. Regarding categories, I am fine if such an effort is going on. I can wait for that. But if this will not be done for a long time, I may add those categories again as there are already many colleges under those categories. I however do support such an effort to correctly categorise the colleges. I do not know about cycles, I need to check that. Thanks. --APandey 10:33, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Campus placements

Which all companies visit BIET and which ones give maximum number of job offers. --Vjdchauhan 09:52, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

There are plenty of companies which visit BIET. Most of them are from NCR region. I will name a few here, Newgen Software Technologies Ltd., Bharti Telecom, Induslogic, Wipro, HCL Tech. etc. These are all in the IT field, there are some companies in the field of Mechanical, Chemical and Civil also which come (or have come in the past) for placements. May I know what is your interest in knowing about this. I am asking this because I think you are not an alumnus. Thanks. --APandey 12:27, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
I am from Jhansi and am working in s/w industry so just for curiosity. -- Vjdchauhan 19:35, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Forgot to mention that TCS also comes and it is probably the company which gives maximum number of offers. --APandey 11:00, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
