Bumpety Boo (へーい！ブンブー Hey! Bumboo in Japan) was an animated children's television show produced by the Nippon Animation company from 1985 to 1986. The series consisted of 131 10-minute episodes, distributed as 43 half-hour segments.
The show follows the adventures of a young boy named Ken, who has always dreamed of owning a car, and Bumpety Boo, a talking yellow car who hatched from an egg in the first episode, as they travel the world in search for Bumpety Boo's mother. Throughout the series, Dr. Monkey tries to steal Bumpety Boo from Ken.
