Bullock cart
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The bullock cart is a common means of transportation used traditionally since ancient times in the Indian subcontinent. Used especially for carrying cargo goods, the bullock cart is driven by one or several bulls.
The cart is attached to the bull by rope. The driver and any other passengers sit on the front of the cart, while cargo is placed in the back.
Traditionally the cargo was usually meant to be agrarian goods. As the bullock cart is continued to be used in modern countries in the Indian subcontinent, the agrarian uses are almost the same while new forms of cargo are carried, such as industrial products..
