Bulimba is an inner suburb of Brisbane, Australia. It is 5 km south-east of the CBD.
Bulimba is located on the Brisbane River and was originally setted as a farming district. The suburb was subdivisioned as a result of the 1880's land boom.
Bulimba means Magpie's Lark and is the name also given to Bulimba Creek.
It is home to several Army Cadet Units - 12 ACU and 161 Aviation Deatchment at Bulimba Barracks on Apollo Rd
