Bujta repa

Bujta repa is a Slovene national dish. It was mostly made in Prekmurje the northeastern part of Slovenia.
Ingredients for 10 persons are:
- 2 kg of turnip
- 1½ kg of pork back
- ¼ kg of groats
- 100 g of grease
- 50 g of flour
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 1 onion
- salt
Preparation:
Cook the meat with the turnip. When it is soft, cook in the groats. From the grease and the flour create a mixture and add the garlic and the onion. Then add the turnip to the water and boil it. Take the meat out of the mixture and cut it into slices. Put the turnip into the bowl and decorate with meat slices. Serve as an independent dish.
