[edit] Images

Hello, what is the copyright status of the images you have uploaded: Image:24_small.jpeg, Image:Frontshot.jpeg, and Image:Sepe a4446b72.jpeg. Did you personally take them? Do you personally own them? If not, did you receive permission from the images' owner(s) to upload them here? They seem fairly professional, and without explanation, I'd have to assume their presence here is a copyright violation. A clarification would be very helpful. Thanks, Minesweeper 06:11, 24 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Ooops! I admit - somewhat ashamed - that I hadn't been checking that out properly. I now have switched the Anders Graneheim photo (Image 24_small) into another photo of Anders Graneheim (DSC0047) which I today have got the photographer's (Alexander Danielsson) permission to use in the article. Concerning the other two, I have contacted their official websites, and I hope I will get permission and/or photographer/copyright info within the coming week or so. If I don't get it, I will remove those photos. Sorry about this, remember I'm pretty new here... Btw: Can someone remove the following photo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Dsc_0047.jpg It was an unsuccessful attempt to upload the Graneheim photo and doesn't have to be saved. Thanks in advance.

Replied via email. I've deleted failed upload for you. --Minesweeper 09:05, Feb 11, 2004 (UTC)

I now have got permission from the photographer for the Prandi photo. Copyright info added. The Frank Sepe website hasn't answered, so I have removed the photo of him.

[edit] License tagging for Image:MATUS1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:MATUS1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:10, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Dsc0047.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Dsc0047.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chowbok 05:37, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
