Buenaventura Lakes, Florida

Buenaventura Lakes or BVL (census name: Lake Buenaventura) is an unincorporated CDP located in northern Osceola County, Florida, near Kissimmee. As of the 2000 census, the CDP population was 21,778 with 7,931 housing units; in which Males are 10,519 (48.3%), and Females are 11,259 (51.7%). It was incorrectly named Yeehaw Junction in the 2000 census products [1]. This area is serviced by the Osceola library system.

Buenaventura Lakes is located at 28°19′51″N, 81°21′6″W (28.330820, -81.351657)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has an area of 14.6 km² (5.6 mi²). 14.5 km² (5.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it (0.36%) is water. The elevation for the community is 67 feet above sea level.
