Buddharama Temple Åsele

Buddharama Temple Åsele is a Buddhist temple currently under construction in the county of Åsele in the northern region of Lappland in Sweden. It is scheduled to become the largest Buddhist temple in Europe. Partly funded by the government of Thailand, it will be a Thai-style temple, with monks from Thailand residing in a monastery adjacent to the temple. The temple will cater to the spiritual needs of the prominent Thai community in Scandinavia, as well as other Buddhists in Northern Europe.
