Harry Everett 'Bud' Abell was an American college and professional football player. A linebacker, he played college football at the University of Missouri, and played professionally in the American Football League for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1966 through 1968. After career ended, became a high school football coach and math teacher. After many years of teaching math at Mosley High School, he accepted a job as an administrative assistant at Arnold High School in Panama City Beach, Florida. As of January 2007, he's still enthusiastic about high school teaching and high school kids.

While playing with the Chiefs, was team mates with future wrestler Ernie Ladd.

He once paid for a high school faculty colleague's groceries when the colleague had come off from home with an empty checkbook. That's the kind of man Bud is. That colleague was me. Ed Deluzain
