From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chris "Buck" Woodward is a pro wrestling journalist who has worked on 1Wrestling and currently is an independent contractor of PWInsider[citation needed].

[edit] Profile

"The day I stop being a wrestling fan is the day I stop writing about wrestling" has been the personal philosophy of Chris "Buck" Woodward, who has always worn his love of professional wrestling on his sleeve. "I am a fan, first and foremost. I am just lucky enough to be a 'fan with a voice' that a lot of other fans hear."

Buck Woodward is one fan with an impressive list of credentials. Editor of the Wrestling Lariat Newsletter from 1999-2003, Assistant Webmaster of 1Wrestling.com from 2000-2004, Assistant Webmaster of ECWwrestling.com from 1999-2001, and the author of a syndicated weekly newspaper column on wrestling for the last three years is just the tip of the wrestling iceberg. Buck has also done research for WWE Raw magazine, ECW Pay-per-view events and DVD releases, and was the ghostwriter of "WCW: The Ultimate Guide", which was published in September 2000. He has traveled across the country and around the world to witness, experience, and write about professional wrestling.

In fact, chances are you have read Buck's work without even realizing it, as he has written numerous items that have appeared, uncredited, on WCW.com and NWATNA.com. Buck has even branched out from the written word, co-hosting Pro Wrestling Insider on SportsTalkCleveland.com, and has hosted and provided commentary on the Japanese Hardcore Wrestling II and Japanese Hardcore Wrestling III Pay-per-view events. Now a part of PWInsiderElite.com, Buck will continue to be a "fan with a voice", sharing his thoughts, opinions and views on professional wrestling, past and present, on this website.

[edit] Career

Buck worked for 1Wrestling up until early 2004, when he, Mike Johnson, Jess McGrath, and Dave Scherer formed PWInsider.

Buck also works as the co-host of the Pro Wrestling Insider internet radio show on SportstalkCleveland.com. He's previously done commentary on nine Japanese Hardcore Wrestling pay-per-view events and on Hardcore Homecoming: November Reign.
