[edit] disambiguation

I've just added an article on Bryce State Mental Hospital in Alabama, which is popularly just called "Bryce". I feel like there needs to be some disambiguation. I'm posting here before I do anything so I can hear input on whether a separate disambiguation page should be created at Bryce or if you would rather have a disambiguation link in this article. OK, I just added a disambiguation link at the top which maybe will do for now as there are few other subjects referred to as "Bryce". -- Jugalator 23:49, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
Oh, thanks for picking that up. I dropped the ball. Dystopos 13:29, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Real disambiguation

I'd like to turn Bryce into a disambiguation page and move the current content to Bryce (software). I don't really think that the software is anywhere near the most-common use of the phrase (see bryce canyon's what links here, for example), and it also refers not only to a hospital but is a last name as well. So this page (plain Bryce) would be a dab pointing to the other versions. Is "Bryce (software)" the best new name for this article? Elf | Talk 18:24, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia

I worked with Kai Krause on the creation of the Bryce project, and it may be of interest to some that the late Douglas Adams, author of the "Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy" series of books, was the first official beta tester of Bryce 1.0. We got off a plane in London and delivered it to him personally. He subsequently created the cover art to the next paperback reissue of the series using Bryce. That series, with Douglas' Bryce artwork on the covers, can still be found in bookstores around the world today. Jargonaut 12:26, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Advertisement

This page is written way too much like a promotional piece. It needs to be toned down to only include information which has been published in third-party sources. I'd also like to see a citation for the claim that this software was used to make the "first motion picture on a computer." --Elonka 23:10, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bryce Users

I have made a template

This user uses Bryce.

this means users can add this to their pages and tell everyone they utilize Bryce =D Smashman2004 (talkcontribsemail) 19:31, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
