Talk:Brussels Airport
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Though it is an international airport, the airport is officially called "Brussels National Airport".
I'd prefer Brussels Airport as that seems to be the one that the official website uses. violet/riga (t) 23:44, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- "Brussels Airport" or "L'aƩroport de Bruxelles" was how I remember it. I don't recall if it was called Zaventem Airport (signposts?). --Pelladon 22:13, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
Moved, as per the policy of the WikiProject airports, which tries to place the airport at the what it is officially called. Burgundavia 02:43, Mar 12, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Brussels Airport
On 19 October 2006, the airport was officially named "Brussels Airport". Prior to this date, there were many accepted names. In Brussels, Brussels National Airport (and it's French and Dutch versions) was favoured, while in Flanders, Zaventem Airport was favoured. Roadsigns to the airport still vary. --Deregnaucourt 15:37, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
