Brushogun
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Brushogun is the name of a villain featured in the movie Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo. His name is a portmanteau of the words brush and shogun. He was Tokyo's only supervillain. Originally a brush painter who wanted to bring his paintings to life, he cast dark magic, but was turned into paper and his blood flowed with ink.
Though originally portrayed as a suit of armor (the shogun reference) he later appears to be a black silhouette of ink with tentacles coming out of his back. This only seems to be a manifestation of his power though, because when he is enslaved by a machine he appears to simply be an old man.
Upon becoming Brushogun upon the warped spell, he brings the villains the Teen Titans fight to life instantly. As he is pictured in the past, many years before the characters that inspire the villains, it is unknown as to why he would pick such strange images. As he is enslaved by the comic company, it is possible that in the DC universe, these characters were based upon the villain manifestations of Shogun's power, as they are featured in many of the comics printed. When they manifest, it may simply be perceived as a cosplay.
He seems to die at the end of the movie, though he may have just fallen asleep. This is not explained.
