Bruno Marioni

Bruno Marioni (b. 15 July 1975, Paraná, Entre Ríos Province) is an Argentine striker for the Argentine football team Boca Juniors of the first division.

Marioni started playing for Newell's Old Boys in 1995 before moving to Sporting Lisboa in 1997. After 2 seasons in Portugal, Marioni returned to Argentina joining Estudiantes de La Plata (Clausura 1999) and the Club Atlético Independiente. In 2000 he again played in Europe, with Villarreal CF for one season, and after the Clausura 2001 again with Independiente, he joined CD Tenerife. He returned to Independiente for the Apertura 2003, and then transferred to his former team of Pumas UNAM. In his opening season with Pumas UNAM, he was the league's top scorer with 16 goals, along with fellow Argentinian, Nestor Silvera. In 2005, playing for Pumas UNAM, Marioni was the sudamerican cup's top scorer with 7 goals. He then played for Toluca, and netted a apertura leading 11 goals, and in the January transfer window he moves to Boca Juniors.
