[edit] Early Career

When Bouchet was 15 [1] when he started his radio career on community station Switch AM, [2] hosting a three-hour weekend youth talk programme called “Speak-Up.” [3]

Bouchet’s distinctively controversial style of broadcasting would often land him in hot water. In September 2004 Bouchet appeared on the SBS television program Insight where he got into a slanging match with the then ALP candidate for Moreton Graham Perrett over the issue of government funding to private schools [4] . Later in the show he was howled down by the panel of guests for stating that: “(Iraq) at the moment, it's the reconstruction period, it's all positive from there.”

In February 2004 Bouchet hosted Switch AM’s broadcast of the Queensland State Election from the official tally room at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

[edit] Commercial Media

In 2004 Bouchet became the producer of News/Talk station 4BC’s weekend morning’s show – hosted by Madonna King and Tony Johnston. During his time on the weekend morning show Bouchet was also working casually as a researcher for the Seven Network’s Today Tonight program as well as occasionally writing stories for Quest Community Newspapers. Later that year he moved onto the newly-formatted weekday breakfast show hosted by Peter Dick and Ross Davie [5]. Bouchet was nominated for two Australian Commercial Radio Awards and one Queensland “Goldies” Radio award for his work as producer on the 4BC breakfast show [6].

At 4BC Bouchet produced for such radio personalities as Claire Blake, Chris Adams. Dean Miller, Rupert McCall, Rod Tiley and John Miller.

In 2006 Bouchet moved to the Brisbane bureau of the Nine Network’s A Current Affair program [7] where he worked as an associate-producer for Brisbane-based reporters including David Margan, Amanda Patterson and Chris Allen.

In early 2007 Bouchet moved back into radio for the Australian Radio Network [8] where he currently produces the Classic Hits 4KQ breakfast program (hosted by Laurel Edwards, Gary Clare and Mark Hine as well as associate-producing the 97.3FM (hosted by Robin Bailey, Terry Hansen and Bob Gallagher.
