Bruce Iglauer

Bruce Iglauer is the founder and head of the independent blues record label Alligator Records in Chicago. He was working for Delmark Records but created this label in 1971 to record Hound Dog Taylor & The HouseRockers. Nine months after the release of the first album, he quit at Delmark Records and has led Alligator Records to becoming one of the top blues labels in the world. Chicago Magazine honored him with the 2002 Chicagoan of the Year award.
